Our Board of Directors

Dear Friends,

I remember spending my summers hanging out with my friends at the neighborhood Center.  The times spent with my friends at the Center were the most memorable experiences. As a teenager, I began spending time with the wrong crowd, and as a result, I left home at the age of 17. I am not proud of the fact that I made a lot of wrong turns, I was lost. However having mentors and meeting others along the way that offered words of encouragement and resources helped me to change my course, and inspired me to use school and my experiences as a vehicle, this would position me to create an environment that would bring others to “A place of Restoration”.

One major change was relocating to Georgia, and it would also prove to be the most rewarding. In June 6, 2008 I was happily married to JoAnn.  Realizing our connection was not an accident, we wasted no time doing the work to build solid relationships and a strategic plan.  We both served in the same market niche, human services - one as a Social Worker the other as a Counselor. In 2009, we began serving our immediate community by providing Food basket giveaways and school supplies to those in need.

In December 2011, Willie Dean Ministries, Inc. partnered with the Roosevelt Park Apartment Community and opened (WDM) Community Center on site. This year marks our third year of implementation of our strategic plan.  Our dedicated team worked diligently to accomplish our organizational goals for 2013. WDM has expanded programs and services increasing outreach efforts.

An Open House and BBQ was held to celebrate the new location and the Summer Enrichment Program was implemented. We are proud of our evolvement and look forward to future development and achievements. “Restoring one family at a time”.
